The word of God says, the poor will always live among the rich. This underline the religious and philosophical views that poverty must co-exist among wealth irrespective of what ever measures are taken to eradicate it among the people. Examples abound of great wealth exist side by side with poverty. In Nigeria, where some are gloriously rich, some others are pain fully poor finding it even difficult in most cases to afford two square meal per day. Below is some of the checklist of poverty

Missed Opportunities:-

Poverty could be trace to missed opportunities because of the mismanagement of our resources has made it difficult for many who would have been able to do something positive on their own and there are opportunities we could have created for our self as an endowed country but on able to do so.

Selfishness:-

Selfishness and Greed (Human nature) among people also contribute to the problem. Things could have change dramatically if those who know the way and those in authority, educate the people rather than riding on them to the top.

Free flow of information:-

The level of poverty in a country would reduce if there is free flow of information has it exist in the united states whose rapid progress could be trace in part to such information. Think and grow rich was written by Napoleon Hill an it inspires a man, and become an entrepreneur.

Some Reason why many poor will remain poor or never be rich.

Financial Intelligences:-

If I give you all the money in the world, you cannot remain rich because after a while you will spend it. Money does not free you from poverty; it is financial education or intelligence that frees you from poverty. You pay for everything you don't know and you receive money for everything you know. If you do not know how to make, manage and multiply money, you may remain poor. You can never be richer than your knowledge. So seek for it.

Pride:-

Some people are too big to make many. They are not humble enough to start collecting small salary, some are to proud to market, some are doing big boy and missing their way to millions.

Lack of focus:-

Focus creates the future. Many people do not have a direction of where they are going. You that are reading my article, what is your wealth plan for the next 12 months? See without mincing words, that you will never be free from poverty without having what you want to make in a particular period written out in a book where you can always go back to and check regularly. If you fail to plan for wealth, it is equal to planning to remain in poverty or less rich.

Laziness:-

Some people are lazy and are not ready to work hard and smart the way they want to make money.

Lack of saving culture:-

Some people believe that, if they are saving 1000 naira every month and later invest it; it will take them eternity to be wealthy. Some people refuse to save because they say their salary is too small. Some others believe they will make it by special luck one day. No matter the class you fall into, the truth is saving is the first step to the temple of wealth.
